Our Doctrine
The source of all doctrine at Calvary Pentecostal Church comes from the Bible. We believe the Bible is infallible and that doctrine should not deviate from the concepts of scripture. We firmly teach its objective truths and do not conform scripture to accommodate our lives. All references for teaching and preaching come from the King James Version Bible.
Grace and Faith
We are saved by grace through our faith. We believe that salvation comes only through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. We teach that the crucifixion death of Jesus Christ met God's requirement to pay for the sins of all mankind. This was God's plan to make a new covenant with those who believe in Jesus Christ. Plan of Salvation
On the Day of Pentecost, the witnesses of Peter's message asked the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Then Peter, whom Jesus gave the keys of the kingdom of heaven ,answered the multitude,"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38)." This is the same plan Jesus told Nicodemus. It is necessary to be born of water(baptism) and of the Spirit(receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost). We are not teaching salvation by works, but that true faith is obedient to the scriptures that clearly teach us to follow this model. Living a holy life
The beauty of the infilling of the Holy Ghost is that it enables us to overcome the deeds of the flesh so that sin does not have dominion over us. The Spirit fills us with God's virtues and purges out the works of the flesh. Scripture commands us to be holy in every aspect of our lives. This includes our hearts, our conversation, our appearance, and our actions. For more click here.
